1-A poesia transforma pessoas?

Fadwa Toukan, Nazek Al Malaika, Mahmoud Darwish, Jabran Khalil Gibran, Paulo Coelho, Ghassan Kanafani e Kafka.

I am very happy to do this interview. And with love.

1-Does poetry transform people?

Yes, in my opinion, the poems change man and affect his feelings and thoughts. The poem gives people room to think about change or hope for change. The writing of poems is the only peaceful way to resist all manifestations of injustice and occupation and contribute to change. It is the space that binds peoples together to convey suffering and to advocate an end to injustice.

2-What are the authors that influence you?

Fadwa Toukan, Nazek Al-Malaika, Mahmoud Darwish, Jabran Khalil Gibran , Paolo Coelho, Ghassan Kanafani, Kafka.

3-Have you published any books yet?

Yes I published a poetry book in 2010 and its name was the recent invasion. I have written in prison two other books and I will publish them soon.

4-What are the themes of your poems?

Write about everything I feel. About the homeland, about women, about children and childhood, about love, about politics, about pain, about occupation. Everything I feel and live becomes a subject for a poem.

5-How is your process of poetic production?

Poetic production is a reproduction of human feelings on paper and transferred to the other. Is a document of a human condition forever. And documenting feelings through the hairs of human beings again even after death.

6-In 2019 will be honored in the XII Poetry Poetry Competition in international scope. How do you feel being honored in Brazil by writer Rodrigo Poeta in this literary contest?

I am much happier when any poet or writer is honored in the world because poetry deserves this. It was a habit to honor the poet after his death but I am happy that the poet today became honored as he writes. Because the poet can write a new history of humanity.
